Hello, please let me tell you a bit about myself. My interest in photography started at an early age. I still have some black-and-white photos of plastic race car models that I built and then photographed trying to make them look real. Cars and racing have always been of interest to me. I grew up near the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and spent many a day during the months of May at the track drooling over the cars and photographing the excitement.

In my mid 20’s I bought a Pentax Spotmatic 1000 and built a darkroom in my garage. I learned how cameras work, how to develop black and white film, and how to do some creative composition and darkroom work such as burning images and double exposures.

Photography has remained a hobby for me throughout my life. Photographing my son as he grew up, his grandchildren, and landscapes during my travels to our country’s fabulous National Parks.

Now, I’ve retired and gotten serious about my photography again by “focusing” on classic and exotic automobiles. I live in Phoenix and during the winter months, there are multiple car shows every weekend so I have many opportunities to photograph some truly classic cars.

My approach is to give my audience a different view of the cars I photograph. I concentrate on the badges, ornaments, and head/tail lights but still provide the viewer with enough to recognize the car.

I hope you enjoy my work!
